SWIM – MBFWA 2016

It’s the final day of my Australian Fashion Week experience and this is the first Swimwear runway I have attended. Although the ending to the show was a tad abrupt as many people were unsure if the show had ended, the swimwear was quite divine. Especially the last piece (seen above in the image gallery) it had me asking myself, can you swim with jewels all over your bathing suit? Maybe in this modern world you can.
The three swimwear designers featured were Duskii, a luxury swimwear brand that opened the show with quite impressive swim designs. I love a good swimsuit feel to my swimwear. You can shop their range here. The other two brands featured were Palm Swimwear, their approach to swimwear was very simple and minimalist which is another quality I treasure in swimwear design. Check out their website here. Aqua Blu Australia was the final brand, with a model covered in a bedazzled swimsuit and tutu which she dropped in a dramatic fashion as she closed the runway. It was quite magnificent and a surprise to see a huge purple tutu at the end of the runway. You can check the finale video below, (I’ve put it to the moment she drops the tutu so you don’t need to search for it!)
